If you have not heard about this movie, you need to! It is an awareness about where our food comes from. I think it fits into global awareness because Americans eat so differently from the rest of the world and that we receive many of our products for other countries.

We just watched this. Got in from Netflix.
There's a really great book that goes along with this topic, called "Animal, Vegetable, Miracle" By Barbara Kingsglover. It's about a family who chooses to eat locally and seasonally for one year. However it also explores where our food comes from and what has happened to many species of plants and animals because of factory farming. Really interesting!
